Happy Birthday to me

I think as I get older, the realisation that time truly is finite become more prominent. Days, weeks, months and then another year goes by, and I always perform an inventory check on what has changed since the last time I blew out those candles. Contemplating over one's accomplishments in life I assume is a pretty popular practice, especially during Birthdays. My first thoughts always drift to the things I wish were different, not only tangible aspects, but rather mental, emotional ad physiological. But I think it's also important to recognise and acknowledge the positive achievements. If you're going through less than perfect times than viewing your world with a rose coloured glasses wont be the easiest of tasks.

As you can tell from the photos above, gone a little Pug crazy! I got the most adorable card from my Mother and an AMAZING BIRTHDAY CAKE! The thought of cutting this up makes me want to cry. My Pug, Bella also looks excited that it's my Birthday (haha!) I'm going to spend a quiet one in. Then, going for a meal later tonight with the family.

I still cannot believe I am 19. It's crazy!
